Our Community
We aim to promote a friendly, neighbourly environment at all our almshouses. A communal room is available at Abberbury Close and Jesus Hospital with all the usual facilities for making tea and coffee for the use of all residents. It is for you and your neighbours to decide what sort of activities you wish to arrange. Residents’ families can be invited to functions in celebration of a birthday or anniversary.
Our Welfare Officers offer various coffee mornings and outings throughout the year. The Chairman also hosts annual Summer and Christmas events for all residents and staff.
A guest suite is available at Abberbury Close and Jesus Hospital where friends and relatives are able to enjoy a short stay on a subsidised basis.
The Trust owns The Hartley Arms Public House, in Donnington, which also provides a coffee shop; a great community asset and a delightful place for residents to meet up and enjoy their homemade delicacies.
